So, today was Max's first full day with us. This morning he and I got up and went for a 50 min run/walk at 5am. It was windy and rainy. He was distracted by the blowing leaves and trees, along with the shadows and Halloween decorations in the neighborhood. He seems to be totally amazed by everything... .like it is the first time he is seeing such things.
Dad took him for a second walk today, and I think all things went well.
Grammy and Paige took him in the truck to Wag Pet Market. They ordered a dog pack for us to use when we walk and a super large kong.
Paige took him for a third walk/run in the rain.
Dinner... yummy.
Played ball with him for a short bit when I got home.
Last walk with me at 9 pm. Worked on sitting when I stop while heeling. Good thing he is treat motivated. Good training opportunity as a kitten actually wanted to come up and meet him while we were walking. Just kept him sitting while feeding him treats and positive verbal reinforcement. He did not eat the kitten.
Still need to work on that mouthy thing. Lots of great ideas and support from animal lover friends on suggestions on what to do about this issue.
