Update

Just realized that I did not update everyone on the surgery observation last week. Kendall and I went up to UWMC to shadow a physician who specializes in breast surgery for women. We were to see a modified radical mastectomy (where they remove the breast tissue down to the chest muscles) and a lumpectomy (which actually ended up being a tissue biopsy).
I am not sure what I was expecting, but it wasn't what I was expecting. The surgeon was very meticulous and caring about the patient.
I am grateful that we were able to see what patients go through before they come to see us in physical therapy.
I do have to say that orthopedic surgeries are by far my favorite!
