Recently, the neighbors on one side of us have been doing a lot of construction and tore down the lovely garden and the old fence so my dad had to put up a new fence. During that time we tore up my gardens on that side so the contruction workers would not trample them. We managed to save one of my rose bushes and my 2 bleeding heart plants. I lost my columbines. But anyway, here is the bottom of the fence and my 2 saved bleeding hearts. There are now stone steps and bark outside of the flower garden area. It looks lovely (or rather it will when the current plants grow and I fill in the empty space with more plants..
Next viewing will be the back deck that dad and I enlarged and changed from a wood to trex many years ago. Finally the railing has been added to the steps (not quite finished but a good start). Note in the back ground the stepping stones and bark and the fence to the left side of the photo. Very nice.
Here is be best part of all... the back. Stairs are complete, retaining wall is complete, and there is a fence on the top of the parking area so that when we are sitting on the patio below or in the family room we do not have to look up to the bottom of the vehicles. So. very. nice. I am thinking of planting blueberries up there along the fence..... it faces south..... any other ideas?
Nice work dad and mom! Me too! ;)
