Our Christmas Tree.... liz's version...

Here is my version of the 2009 BrownRice Christmas tree.....

We went to the Sprouffske's Third Annual Christmas Tree Shindig at the Sprouffske Tree Farm. We like the noble firs, so we are out looking for the best one... not many to choose from.....

This is a good choice, but Paige wants a bigger one. (sigh)

Mom has her eagle eyes peeled for the best tree... she even has her glasses on for the occasion so there will be no excuses for missing the perfect tree!

Dave just cannot believe that this is where Christmas trees come from. Being from the desert, he thought they came from the back of trucks and sold by people living in campers in shopping center parking lots.

Mom is getting excited as we are narrowing down our choices.....

We finally found the perfect tree that we all agreed upon- we thought. But, before the final decision can be made, the guys needed to assess the trunk to ensure it really is the tree for us... Paige, of course, thinks "you have got to be kidding. just cut the sucker down!"

The guys give their thumbs up... it has passed their inspection- it is our tree!

Dad insists on carrying it back to the truck all by himself. Whatever.

No tree hunt would be complete without the traditional "hollywoooooooood" shot......

We had a few visitors from the farm.... they enjoyed the sunshine in the front window... however, I do not think that they got very much to eat in the living room.

Our tree on Christmas moring. Since the kids were with their dad, I made Meg sit in front of the tree and I took her picture. She is such a good girl.

That it the liz story of our tree.
*final note.... the tree was too tall for our living room and I had to cut the top off..... See, we should have gone with the smaller tree......
