Seattle 3 Day

Completed a very busy weekend.

It started at 8 pm on thursday, after onsite clinic, by driving Michelle, Dana and I up to Bellevue to stay with friends of Dana. This family opened their home to us to spend the night, giving us mini toothpaste and floss (so cute! reminded me of something Nancy, my mother-in-law would do!) and feeding us coffee and bagels at 3:00am friday. All three of us hopped in the car and drove to Bellevue Community College to check in to the 3 Day.

We volunteered on the sports medicine crew.

Needless to say, the next 3 days were like a time warp- getting up at 4:30-5:00 am and going to bed after 10:30pm.

3 days filled with taping feet, ankles, and knees.
3 days filled with soft tissue work on quads, hamstrings, calves, ITBs, feet, and an occasional shoulder.
3 days filled with hugging strangers who raised $2200+ and were walking 60 miles that weekend for their mom, sister, aunt, friend and self.
3 days filled with tears as walkers were red carded for stress fractures and were not allowed to continue walking.
3 days filled with icky food you ate because you were so dang hungry and tired.
3 days of emotion and compassion and encouragement.

I loved it.
