Houdini is home after spending the day at his vet with some "TLC". Whatever that really stands for it was much cheaper than the ICU all night at the Animal Emergency Hospital. I do have to say, though, those people at the all night hospital are fabulous.
Anyway, we have to give him medicine daily, force fluids and eating of some sort of powdered meal replacement for carnivorous reptiles. It is definately a learning experience for both Austin and I. He prys open Houdini's mouth and I put in the meds/ fluid/ etc. Paige is there supervising all that is going on, holding the bag of IV fluids (no, there is no IV, just a syringe and fluid in his mouth) offering her words of encouragement and support. We have a week of this and then a return visit to his vet for a check up to make sure he is doing better and is not dehydrated any longer.
Thanks to everyone for their prayers and words of encouragement. St Francis was helping out this little guy. I actually thought he was a gonner.
As far as the test goes, well, good thing that isn't the only thing that is counted for my grade! Yikes!
