So, in order to prevent any deaths in May, I have decided to post an update.
We have tilled up the entire front lawn, added that ever so fragrant TAGRO (we all felt at home and thought we were back in Amarillo!), and are currently trying to level out all the dips and bumps. Dad is also framing the new sidewalk so that we can play with cement soon and put it in before we actually seed the lawn. I am sure that James, our friendly mailman, will be so glad when he can walk up to our house on a sidewalk instead of trying to balance on stones and pieces of old decking.
We have decided to put in a flower garden in the corners under the cedar trees. So, I have been researching plants that grow well in those conditions. I have already purchased some plants and have a list of things I want to attempt to grow there.
My niece, Elise, is graduating high school in May. I can remember when I would put my 2 kids and my 3 niece's in the car and we would cruise around Amarillo singing Dixie Chicks at the top of our lungs! Anyway, mom and dad are going down to Texas for the big day. They are going to visit Mike and Eric and their fams for about 2 weeks. I know mom and dad miss them all, and I think everyone is going to have a great time.
I am rapidly approaching the end of the semester. Last day of class is next weds, then reading period and then finals. My last day of finals is May 11.
The kids are doing well. Austin has been injury free for several weeks and Paige's aquarium is clean and healthy! They are in the midst of planning their summer activities. Summer camps, camping trips, possible behind the scenes 4th of July events, and a trip to Texas to visit their dad and Kristin. They don't get out of school until June.
OK, S~, no deaths, right? :)

People shouldn't make threats. Some people are just too violent.
silly, i wasn't being violent. i was worried about dying from fleecimonia, from a lack of brownrice blog posting.
it should be noted that for a period of time, be it ever so brief, that james the postman walked on beams from the front of my house in order to deliver your mail.
life is good on our block.
While I agree on the lack of posting that goes on, around the Brownrice household. I would have to say, that someone who will remain nameless probably was being violent.
